Magic of Santa

Bean loves Santa! This week she’s been asking “Sing me a song! A Santa Song!”
and we’ve been tuning in to the radio station that plays Christmas music all day long. (yes, already!) And so, it must be time to write that treasured letter to Santa.
This Christmas season, Macy’s has promised to donate $1 to the Make-a-Wish Foundation for every letter to Santa mailed in their “special letterboxes” at each of their stores. Visit their website, Macy’s Believe, for more information. Also from the website, you can download and print fun Santa Stationary to help your kid’s write a letter.
The 3 Kids N Us blog wants to encourage the giving spirit too. Pledge to write a letter and drop it off for a chance to win a $20 gift card to Macy’s at the Magic of Believing Giveaway.
Have fun writing!

The Mom-prenuer Shop-a-thon is a collection of great mom-shops
assembled by Tip Junkie. There are unique gifts for everyone on your list. Two of my favorite sites on the list are the Sweet Lollipop Shop, where you can find some fun-shaped home-made lollipops, and Lotties Loops, which has some very cute hair bows and clips.
Also going on now, is the 12 days of Tip Junkie celebration. There are some amazing prizes and two winners every day, so check it out!
Photo Contest: Fun with food!
November 14, 2008 at 11:59 am | In Family, Giveaways & Contests | 2 CommentsTags: 5minutesformom, birthday cake, photo contest, prego
Hurry if you want to enter! It’s the last day (closes at 3PM EST) for the photo contest 5minutesformom is hosting. Courtesy of Prego, the grand prize is a $500 gift certificate for groceries. I know we would love to win. Here is the photo that I’m entering…
Everyone seemed to be entering photos of their kids with messy faces. I have a ton of those! But I figured, the theme was food, fun and family. To me this photo shows all three. I love how both kids look like they can’t wait to get their hands on Dad’s cake. Maybe it would have been a better photo if I had taken a picture of the ensuing mess? Well at least a funnier photo! But we’ll have more of those to come next week because the baby is turning ONE!!
I’ll let you know if I’m a finalist and you can go vote for me! In the meantime, check out some of the other contestants at 5minutesformom.

Take a peek over at Grosgrain to see this incredible set of costumes Kathleen has designed of a nordic-inspired Little Bo Peep and a smaller sized wooly sheep. I know Bean would love playing Mary, as in “Mary had a little lamb,” with her sibling. If you have little storybook characters of your own, you can enter to win both costumes there too.
Kathleen has also just opened a shop, starting with sweet tops and skirts for girls. You need to visit Grosgrainstore.com to see the beautiful bird fabrics she uses. She is also celebrating her opening by gifting a lucky person with a $56 gift card to her store. Good luck & enjoy!
