Visiting Old Sturbridge Village

15 06 2008

This week, we took a trip to Old Sturbridge Village (OSV). OSV is different than most historical places because it’s a living museum, where the you can wander around a recreated New England town and bump into townsfolk living and working as they would in the 1830s. On our tour, our guide gave us some of the herbs in the minister’s garden to taste, and every plant (or weed) thereafter, Bean would bend over to take a nibble. We also explored on our own to see the farm animals and some of the residences. Bean’s favorite part though was to “Pump the wadder!” She can’t wait to go back to “The Farm.”
